Environmental Policy – SCE06/5.24 ISSUE 8

Stowell Concrete is aware of the potential impact our operations may have on the environment and our stakeholders.

We are totally committed to the care of the environment and this goal is constantly achieved at all levels, through the operation of our environmental management system.

We recognise the importance of environmental protection and are committed to operating the business responsibly and in compliance with all environmental regulations, legislation and approved codes of practice. 

It is the Organisation’s objective to co-operate with and to maintain good relations with all our stakeholders.

In all our activities, we will continuously work towards reducing our impact on the environment.

It is our policy to carry out all environmental requirements and to continually improve environmental performance, through the implementation of the following;-

• Assess and regularly re-assess the environmental effects of the Organisation’s activities.
• Manage our waste streams and minimise the production of process and packaging waste.
• Strive to reduce our carbon footprint and social impact where possible.
• Minimise water usage by recycling wherever possible and ensuring any water that leaves our premises is treated and clean.
• Monitor and reduce our emissions to water, land and air.
• Reduce to an absolute minimum the risk to the general public and employees from operations and activities undertaken by the Organisation.

This we will achieve by training employees, raising employee awareness and incorporating environmental issues into the day to day running of our business.

This policy is reviewed and updated as necessary.
